Trained Chimpanzees Install Flue Pipe
These fabulous pics are from a flue pipe install on a rehabbed house in Phlli today. They chose to completely bypass the old masonry chimney and install a new flue incorrectly in just about every way imgainable. There was water on the floor in the basement beneath the flue pipe and inside the flue cleanout cap. On the exterior, they attached single walled pipe to type-B pipe but sleeved it in so that the junction is open to water penetration.

Improper connections, lack of clearance to combustible surfaces, improper clearance above roof line, located directly outside a bedroom window........this one had it all and then some more. Enjoy!

Re: Trained Chimpanzees smoking Pipe
Nick, that's what you get for going into Philly. Man, you and John must love walking in ______t.

So, do you think it was the brother in law or uncle? Looks like this was planned right when they realized they bought the last section of B-vent at Home Depot. Hey, they sell this single walled stuff on the rack to the right of the Bvent.

Some people are just too picky, ya' know.....

Nick can't even appreciate a curbside Philly warranty-- the job is warrantied until the installer gets out to the curb!

If I was a Chimp (don't even go there), I'd be insulted at your associating Chimps with gimps.
