The local plumbing supply center told one of my clients that they are "phasing out" the use of ABS or PVC on HE furnace flue vents. Has anyone else heard of this? It was news to me.

Re: HE Flue Venting
Jim, did the supply center by any chance state what the proposed replacement flue material would be? I can't see why it would be phased out and what other material is out there that is better and can stand up to the corrosive nature of the condensate in burnt gas byproduct than PVC.
