So who is doing the inspections, the city building department that perfomed the original inspections? This service should be free if its truly a life and occupant safety issue in my opinion. Then there's always the Darwin Effect to be considered.........

Nothings ever FREE. You, I and the residents of that city would have to pay the fee in higher taxes. And to be truthful, I can't afford the taxes I'm paying now.
