    Let's see ... cold water side ... must mean cold solder joint ... makes sense.

    No Jerry, the water was on to the house. When I finally got to the crawlspace, I saw that someone had disconnected the cold water line (to the washer) and capped it.
    The hoses were connected to both faucets, so I was going to put one in the drain to test the waste pipes. As I was sorting out the hoses, I noticed the cold side moved a bit more than I see time to time with PEX pipe, so I checked it out.
    I was shocked to say the least!

    Nice find Jack. I know many do not test washing machines but this is a good reason why maybe everybody should to at the very least see if the supply and drain lines are operable.
