    Default Job Security for the Fire Dept.

    1987 furance.... I'm guessing the manual has been wedged behind the vent pipe the whole time. Maybe they're making manuals out of asbestos.

    Nice, I've seen the same many times. Looks like an old york or janitrol from the color. Most of the furnaces (all) don't allow a 90 hook-up straight to the unit. Usually manual specs a minimum vertical run before a 90. Usually 6-12" from what I've read.
