Thread: Newbie in Michigan

Hi all - just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I am pursuing starting my own business in residential designs and inspection work, and look forward to finding out some background information before I get too far into the process.

I went to college for residential design, finished with a BS in construction management, and as the market went to pot here in Michigan and I was new guy on the totem pole, ended up working in homeowner insurance claims - which sucks. After a year in claims, I have been able to reassess what I want to do and get the motivation to start my own business.
