Welcome to the board, Michael. If you can, check out the many threads on the subject of being a new inspectror. There is even a "board archive" that you'll find very helpful.
I can tell you my experience this morning.
Don't let your wife talk you into taking a "water pill" when you have a full day of inspecting to do.
OMG!
I've had some water building up on a knee cap (old football injury), so the wife tells me to take one of her "water pills". Running to the bathroom like I have a 300lb. tackle on my heels.
