Where in WNC?
I'll be in Dilsboro all of next week on vacation (staying in a rental cabin). Going into Maggie Valley, Bryson City, Waynesville, and surrounding areas.
DUH! Your post is titled 'Ashville', so that's where you are.

Welcome Don!
Jerry, if you have not taken a ride of the train in Bryson City it is worth the time. Great scenery that you just can't see from the road. Home Page - GSMR

Don,
Welcome aboard. Glad your out of the closet, so to speak.
Scott,
Train rides as such are great aren't they. Amazing the things you see.

Re: Asheville North Carolina
Scott,
We've done that train ride twice. Once the short version, then the longer version.
BUT ... we may do it again (it's been a couple of years since we rode that train).
We spent a week in the same cabin we are staying in next week, oh, about 5 years ago. Then we got our big 5th wheel camper and spent 7-10 days at a great, quite, secluded campground on Balsm Mountain for the last 4 years (except last year, which we spent moving to Ormond Beach).
Two years ago we almost bought a house in Maggie Valley, may look again this year, or wait until next year.

Jerry,
If you need it inspected, I know a guy in that area (or not that far away).

Welcome Don!
I live in Taylors (Greenville), SC - about 45 minutes South of you. I spend a lot of time at the Biltmore Estate with my wife riding horses on the weekends.
