    I'm interested in training to become home energy auditor, is there anyone fimiliar with process?? could use all advice I can get at this time!

    Mike,

    It depends on what you want to do in the energy arena. If you want to do Energy Star Certifications for new houses you have to get RESNET HERS Rater certified. If you want to do energy audits and your state has no rules you can just start! (not a good idea). If you want to do combustion training RESNET's program is not yeu complete so you may want BPI. Neither BPI or RESNET training is cheap! The equipment (blower door, duct blaster, monoxor, etc) is not cheap. Themost important aspect for any ytraining you receive is the quality of the course and the instructor.
