I've been a Home Inspector since 2003, it's the retirement career I expected...but expect the unexpected. My primary career was recession proof and consistent; being an independent business owner has many facets and challenges, I both welcomed and dreaded. Knowing my weaknesses, acknowledging them, and going forward was my challenge.
My business has been a learning curve I enjoy, but the 2008 recession was crippling and I'm still working to recapture my capital reserves.
