Howdy y'all!
New member checking in from Phoenix, AZ! I'm not an inspector yet but that will hopefully be changing soon.
I'm currently working as fraud protection for a big corporate bank and the idea behind the career change is to start protecting people instead of companies. Most likely looking at less pay balanced with better karma which is a trade I'm comfortable with. My wife will be finishing up her degree by next May, then it's my turn to learn a new trade.
Is this the right place in the forum to ask questions about the whole process of getting into home inspection? I checked the Education subforum but it seems to be pointed a different direction than what I'm hoping to ask about.

Re: Howdy y'all!
Actually we'd be looking at Texas instead of Arizona. Once the wife's degree is finished here we're moving back to her home state to start on the family-making business, and that's where I'd be doing home inspections ideally.
I'd seen that Texas State has a program where if you complete the class you don't have to find other inspectors to do ride-alongs with which seemed like a good idea, do you know anything about that? Is it a credible education?
