Default Greetings from a site newbie

Greetings everyone! I'm new to the site, though not to the industry. I have been a home inspector for an insurance carrier for 4 years, and started my own inpsection company this year. I'm still suffering the same old stuff that new business startups suffer from. I'm not to the level of activity that I would like to be, but I'm sure I'll get there in time.

I've built good relationships with several realtors, and am still trying to build more. I'm still not in the phone book, since I did not start up until the month after it was published. Oh well, next year is on the way. I do have a website running (Cooper Home Inspection)

Personal info: Angie and I have been married 9 years; she's pregnant with our first, a little girl. Auto enthusiast (like you couldn't tell) and Freemason. Graduate of Erskine College.

I joined up to find a group of fellow inspectors to toss ideas and problems off of. I don't claim to have seen everything, but I'm smart enough to ask questions when I see something new or unusual.

I'm located in the Midlands of South Carolina, the Columbia area.

That's what we all do here.

Seems like you are a normal dysfunctional home inspector to me .. like the rest of us.

Well. this looked like the best thread to chime in on. I'm new to the site as well but not the bus. Been inspecting since 04 and look fwd to the discussions with the different folks over here.

Can someone tell me how to change my login name? I don't know how I got "imported" on there.

Click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of this page and ask Brian (who owns this site) to change it. He will.

As a newbie myself, I generally don't say to much on this site but it offers a wealth of information!

    Welcome aboard!

Brian, Richard and Robert... welcome aboard. Good to have you folks on InspectionNews.

Feel free to chime in and be part of an on-going discussion or start a new thread with questions about an inspection. Heck, it can even be about how to get your old lady to do something -- it's just that I won't be able to answer that one for you. Heck, I believe loading the dishwasher means gettin the old lady drunk.

    Welcome...

    Rich
