On tile roof, is bird stop required or just recommended? Arizona new Inspector.
Hi everyone!
I'm new to Inspection News and kind of exited to learn and participate on these treads.
I'm an Inspector in Arizona and I have a question on tile roof.
Is the bird stop for tile roof required or just recommended?
Thanks, Enrique

Re: On tile roof, is bird stop required or just recommended? Arizona new Inspector.
Enrique,
The answer depends on where the house is located (which city) and the age of the house. For the most part, there were no bird stops, drip edges, or anti ponding devices prior to the early 90’s. By the early 2000, all three were required.
