Looking through an IR Port

Just thought I would show the gang what it looks like to inspect high voltage connections through an IR window. I do this a lot these days.

Just thought I would show the gang what it looks like to inspect high voltage connections through an IR window. I do this a lot these days.

How can the spot temperature be 60 degrees and the reflective temperature be over 80? Please explain all the temperatures we see in the image so people have more of an understanding of how this stuff works. Thanks.

What are you calling "High" voltage and does that image tell you anything ?
