Big hello from Caribbean

Hello!

Am here briefly inpecting a new construction in sublime surroundings and when I went searching for answers i found this page - great! Glad to be here.
Still looking for an answer to a rebar question if anyone can shed some light... Any construction on the island is subject to salt air and hence the rebar rusts... Do end caps really reduce the danger of future rust expansion once the columns are poured? Any other suggestions or opinions on this aspect of rebar/cement relationship wil be greatly appreciated. Thanks! and warm regards to all.
