First Post - Introduction
Hello everyone! I am new on here and I am from Canada. I am starting my home inspection business in 2008.

I would like to start off by asking everyone for some advice on what basic tools are necessary to have to conduct a basic home inspection. I have to order online because there are no suppliers up here or close by and I found a site but some tools do the same thing but some either do mulitple tasks or some are analog and some are digital and I would like to know what a guy can buy or should buy to inspect for moisture, CFM rate of a furnace and such. Any brand names or places to buy from would be great.

Nice to meet you and I look forward to learning a lot from this excellent forum.

Richard,

Welcome,

Don't know what you would call a basic HI or the reporting requirements of your jurisdiction. What are you required to put in your HI Report?

Try some of these as Christmas is coming up.

You can find some stuff at the Big Box Hardware stores,Sears,WW Grainger
