IR Training, who's best and why pls?
I love my Infrared Camera...

It lets me see what I in the past could only speculate on..

But all of the courses (Level 1) I have seen want me to spend really big $$ to learn what I already could TEACH...

Water changes how things heat up and cool down
Water (mostly) only goes down hill.
Higher density things heat up/cool down slower
Watch out for Thermally reflective things
Wires under load emit more energy than...
Friction generates heat...

I know these things... since I don't want to QUANTIFY things, only identify them so someone ELSE can identify/justify/fix them...

I want a course that is for Home inspectors, possibly taught by a home inspector that is priced for home inspectors...

Do I really need to spend $$ for someone to tell me all the possible sources of a wet spot that a camera allows me to "SEE"... I've been doing that for years with other senses & tools... this is much faster and easier, but do I have to sit through "Water goes down hill, water follows the path of least resistance, water can go great distances before becoming noticable..."

sorry for the rant... but when someone wants me to spend $1500-$2,000 and they can't show me an exam it helps me pass, or a nationally recognized certificate, or (you get the idea) I get a bit paranoid...as that is my job...
Yes I want to be Level 1 "certified" but I want it to mean something... and be of value...

Anyone got a course they really liked? Got any courses/instructors you would avoid?
