“I always try to get my sellers to do an inspection up-front to help make the property more marketable, but half the time it seems like me and every other realtor in my office are scrambling to get our inspections done. You’d think in a big area like Dallas there would be tons of inspectors, but we have to wait at least a week, sometimes two.”

I just got this notice from AHIT! There is a shortage of inspectors in the Dallas area!

Why didn't someone tell me?!
and it is not just Dallas!
“We have two guys in the area that do inspections. Only one of them is any good and he’s booked up two to three weeks in advance. Even the guy who’s not that good is booked up for a week in advance! It’s crazy right now. We’ve had deals fall through sometimes because it’s taking so long to get inspections done. We need about five more GOOD inspectors in this area!”
-Susan S. Indianapolis, IN
“As a mortgage broker, my loan officers need inspections to be completed within 10 days of the initial offer. Right now only about half of these are being done in time. I’ve got another office in Minneapolis and the same thing is happening there. I don’t know if there used to be more inspectors or what, but I know we need more down here. That’s for sure.”

Oh, wait, these guys only get paid if someone pays the tuition, it does not mean there really is a need for what they are peddling.
Too bad the guys lined up to pay their money get this crap and most won't bother to check it out.
I use AHIT inspection software... but I think that may change...
