    Default water heater pole

    How long has a barrier pole been required by a water heater in the garage? More than the last 10 years?

    Bollard.

    They have been required since at least 1970, possibly longer. I do not see them in my area prior to the mid 1960s. I was unable to locate any change or requirement date.
