how do you not have frozen water supply
How do people that live in really cold places keep water lines from freezing up?
How deep do you go in permafrost??? Do people just keep the water running?
Just wondering

Re: how do you not have frozen water supply
In my area we bury the water supply line below the frost line. In homes the are left unoccupied for the winter months we drain the water lines and add antifreeze.

Anti-freeze should only be put in traps, supply lines should be drained & blown out.

Also, use RV anti-freeze (the pink stuff) which is less toxic. You really don't want to put the regular stuff down the drain environmentally speaking nor leave it exposed for the pets to drink.
