    Default Vent stack under eave

How often do you see this and do you identify it as an issue? There is no soffit venting in this eave so it won't stink up the attic

It does not look good to me either, however, I did not find in the code where it is not allowed.

Neither could I. I am thinking if there is no soffit vent it can't do much harm.

These stacks do carry moisture so it would be a good idea to extend through the roof if possible. Otherwise, the soffit area will deteriorate directly above the vent over time.

The house is 8 years old, I didn't notice anything. It is really dry here.
