    Default Gas piping

Is galvanized pipe and fittings approved for gas systems or should they be black steel for the interior supply to the appliances?

Galvanized is okay by most (if not all) codes ... almost most places allow galvanized (there may be a few places which prohibit galvanized, but probably not many).

    Jerry,
Thanks for the input.I had read at one time that the galvanizing would break down or have a chemical reaction and flake off and clog the line, but if approved so be it.
