Calling Out Polybutylene
Have seen homes with what appears to be polybutelyne under sinks. In cases where the main lines are copper, do you call out the poly?

Re: Calling Out Polybutylene
If you are asking about the gray or white plastic supply risers for sinks and toilets, then no, I do not write that up.
I have not heard of any problems with them.

Re: Calling Out Polybutylene
Does the poly visibly connect to copper under the sink? If so, then as long as there is no leaking/corrosion/etc, don't call it out. If the poly goes into the wall and you can't see the connection, I would put it into the report as an unknown. It could have the older fittings that have been a problem.
