    Default Vessel sink venting?

This place had vessel sinks installed with food diposal tail pipes with rubber hoses attached. Appears to be an effort to improve draining and venting. Is this allowed or accepted, have never seen it before.

    .

Of course not, don't be fooled by new "vessel sinks". They have the same drain requirements as traditional sinks.

I don't see how it could improve anything, being on the upstream side of the trap. If there is a trap and it is properly vented, which we can't see in the picture, I don't know why it would not be allowed.
