    Lack of use is the cause....


    Flush the water heater tanks and lines before use (several times).

    But.... there is always the possibility of having a root problem having damaged the supply lines that allow dirt to leach into the lines.

    If it runs for a while and clears... no problem-- do the flush thingy.

    Cause - unknown
    Concern - yes, if you don't note it on report
    Defect - contractor should figure that out
