Default Shut off at Regulator-LP Gas

Did an inspection yesterday where the LP tank was about 50 yards from the house, regulator located at side of house. Only shut off was at tank. Should there not be a shut off at the regulator as well?

No shutoff required at regulator here. I'm on propane. Nor is a safety leak sniffer shutoff required, but it's a good idea. (I used the red neck technical name there)

Oh yeah, and the regulator can't be below or near a window or door.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Cool Re: Shut off at Regulator-LP Gas

Thanks Lon, "sniffer" isn't near a door or window so it's all good.
