Looking for a solution to freezing pipes
My synagogue has an annual issue with pipes freezing some are below slab others are on an outside wall. (this is a common problem with churches as well)
Yes I know - it never should have been done that way.
Since the building is empty for a couple of days a week chances for a freeze up increase and I have thawed them twice in the last week
I have thought about connecting a small circulating pump from the hot water feed to cold water with an isolation valve (connecting this permanent, possibly with temperature controls) but I do not know if this is legal also need to find a small pump something around 1/10 gal per minute.
I am also open to some other ideas

Re: Looking for a solution to freezing pipes
This may offer a solution, short of major plumbing upgrades.
