PVDC gray water supply lines
1968 gray plumbing supply lines. 1/2 and 3/4 inch clearly labeled "PVDC Thermo-tubing"
Never seen gray, but orange and blue I've seen. Can't find much information other than "lined metal supplies" online and no it's not schedule 80 or electrical conduit.
Anyone ever seen it and how did you write it up?

Re: PVDC gray water supply lines
I went to the 2000 IRC and to the 2012 IRC, neither shows PVDC as an approved material for either the water service pipe (which is outside the structure) or for water distribution pipe inside the structure, and the elbows look like PVC which is approved for water service pipe outside the structure but not inside.
Not sure what code was in your area in 1968, but unless someone showed me that it was allowed I would say it is not one of the listed and approved water service or distribution piping materials.
I've seen gray pipe used for irrigation sprinklers occasionally (typically between the pump and the indexing valve), but that piping is outside and no one is drinking that water either.

Re: PVDC gray water supply lines
...........can't remember where I got it or any specifications, but I plumbed my first home with 3/4" gray PVC in 1975. Looked identical to your pc, including the beige fittings......Greg
