Thread: Is this so wrong?

I had a new sink put in.
no disposal.
the prior pipe(except it was metal), was this configuration. We took pictures so we could put it in the same configuration.
house inspector said "because the p-trap is installed incorrectly it needs an air trap".
the air trap/clean out is to the right of the sink/counter, in the wall behind the refrigerator. (The counter where the sink is, does not have a full wall behind it as the kitchen opens to the den.
Why wouldn't inspector know to look behind the frig for the vent? This must be a common scenario...
