    Default Drain piping under bathroom sink

    This does not look correct. Almost looks like a "s" trap.

    Correct - that amounts to the same thing as an S-trap.

    I would write it up as an unapproved trap and its configuration is not permitted by code, and that it is likely to self-siphon it's trap seal out and allow sewer gas especially in to the building.

    I agree with Jerry, and while it may be working and not currently leaking, it is an unapproved trap that is potential dangerous to the occupants.
