Re: new to me gas coupling
I've seen them on some LPG installs. they're press-fit connectors.
I didn't research their limitations or other specifics.

Do some research on its listing and what is required by code.
All I did was a Google search and found that, and that the page said "application gas".

Re: new to me gas coupling
I looked at the information, according to the information on their pages, the fittings are listed, and their listing matches what the IRC requires. On my phone, so I'm not typing all the code information.
The fittings are press fit, however, that is not press fittings on like Sharkbite fittings for plumbing/water use - those require a tool which press fits (for lack of a better descriptive word 'crimps') the fittings tightly to and around the pipe.
Those would be one time use fittings and not removable (without damaging the fitting and pipe).
