    Default Watts TPR valve/ no drain??

    This is my first watts valve and not shure what to say, has no drain jest a gas shut off

    Mike,

    Instead of releasing built-up pressure and temperature, those are designed to shut the gas off ... preventing the build-up of pressure and temperature.

    I actually like those used in conjunction with a T&P in the top opening. The regular T&P would release any build-up of pressure and temperature while that one would shut the gas off, prohibiting any future risk.

    No fuel (gas) = no heat = no danger.

    Say what it is supposed to do and call it a day. Did you go on the Watt's web site and read their material?
    BTW, your dad is a friend of mine besides being a neat guy.
