    Default Rusted gas pipe

Gas pipe in the utility room is rusted. A water heater leaked and the steam or moisture caused the gas pipe to rust. Curious what you would say about this. Bank owned property, and the owner knows about the leakage.

The pipe rusts real quickly. If the leaks stopped and it's only surface rust I'd leave it alone. One of the gas company guys said It could be painted if it's ugly.

If the water heater/plumbing leak has not been corrected, then I would mention the corrosion and have the plumbing contractor verify integrity. Otherwise, I would probably agree with David.

It appeared to simply be surface rust.
