AAV problems (and solutions)
Since AAV's have been in the discussion recently, maybe these pictures will help.
Three are of an existing problem, and two are solutions found in "Code Check".

Re: AAV problems (and solutions)
Figure 6 shows the 4" height measurement taken at the wrong place.
The installation shown in the photos is incorrect.

Re: AAV problems (and solutions)
Not only is the 'problem' AAV incorrect, that's a great example of an 'S' trap.
The easiest solution is to cut the trap loose and run the drain over to the AAV line to become the drain and vent and replace the current drain/vent tee with an elbow, thus correcting both problems.

Frank,
I think that's what Terre was referring to when he said "Three are of an existing problem,"

Re: AAV problems (and solutions)
Would no one else consider the install in the 3pvc pics to be dangerously close to an S-Trap?

Re: AAV problems (and solutions)
True, but you never know what someone might miss at a glance...of course Terre primarily directed attention to the AAVs.
Catch you on the next round.
Cheers.
