His shows are wonderfull wchich makes this even more mysterious.

I live in Mike's area and it's quite common up here to have the P-trap just below the floor.

Which would likely exceed the allowable vertical distance to the trap - see related post on other thread for this same item.
(This is why duplicate threads are not a good idea. Once posted, might as well leave them be where they are. )

Only Brian can do that, and that would delete the other responses too ... unless Brian went to the trouble to move the responses over to the other thread. I doubt it would be worth Brian's time to do that.

Not true. The following is from the Ontario Building Code.
7.4.8.2. Length of Fixture Outlet Pipes
(1) Except for fixture outlet pipes installed in conformance with Sentence 7.4.5.1.(3), the developed length of every fixture
outlet pipe shall not exceed 1 200 mm.

Re: Could MIKE HOLMES miss P trap & vent so easily?
John,
Save the "not true" and keep it back to one thread.
Read my post after your post on the other thread where you posted this first.
Answer those questions, those answers will determine if "not true" *IN YOUR AREA*, "while true" *NOT IN YOUR AREA*. Heck, may even be "true" in your area.
