Patina at copper water lines
Okay... this is going to sound rediculous, but just want to cover myself. I had a home today where almost every connection on the copper water lines had a green patina, which I understand is most likely overfluxing or acidic water. I also had steel hangers, but, it was everywhere, even at the brass compression fittings under the sinks. I seem to recall (albeit not clearly) there was a bad lot of copper some years ago? Anyone have any thoughts? The home was built in 1973.

Thanks in advance...

Re: Patina at copper water lines
The environment under the sink with all those off gassing cleaning products, cosmetic products - may have something to do with the formation corrosion/patina.

Cheers,
