Curious to know what this is?
Found something I'm not familiar with.3 year old house, this is about 3 feet in front of house under the shrubs. Heard some water running in it. Is this part of the waste removal system? Thanks for any help.

Looks like a well head. Does the home have well or septic?

Based on the size, it looks like a sewage grinder to me. They also pump waste, so that might account for the noise. However, I'll admit they aren't too common around here.

Looks like a land mine. See the warning label.

Re: Curious to know what this is?
I saw one similar many years ago. The home was very close to a creek and they could not get a permit for leach lines, so he had a special septic system installed that pumped air into a deep chamber like that one and then just drained into the creek. I am sure I over simplified the procedure, but you get the idea.
