    Default Confused about California Swimming Pool Safety Act

    I am currently having a inground pool built at my home in Hesperia, CA and I'm a little confused about the Swimming Pool Safety Act. The Act states that the pool shall be equipped with at least one of seven drowning prevention safety features... My backyard is fenced with a 5' chainlink fence which does not meet code requirements. Would installing a ASTM certified pool alarm satisfy the requirements of the Swimming Pool Safety Act? It is one of the 7 drowning prevention safety features.
