It depends.Lined or unlined masonry chimney - distance from flue; Premanufactured chimney; manufactured air cooled chimney system,. Insulated manufactured chimney system, general requirements and individual manufacturer systems' requirements vary, listed or unlisted. Type of fuel/chimney needs to be clarified as well as size.
