sub floor vents
Just had 30 x 10 section replaced because of dry/brown rot. House is pier and beam and addition added in 2001 does not have any vents. Do I need vents to prevent rot. What type of contract can install them. They would have to go through concrete. A foundation guy told me to just put a fan under there, but reading the web said that would just circulate moist air. Any help. I can't afford to replace the floor every 10 years.
The original house built in late 50's/early 60's is fine. It has only 2 vents along the back. There was no moisture or standing water when the floor was replace.
