Is this Asbestos?
Hey guys, I recently had to kick in a door and here's the result. This is an older house and I rather be paranoid than get lung cancer. Any idea if this is asbestos or not?

You would need to have it tested by a laboratory. Looks like old plaster to me and yes, old plaster can have asbestos in it. You just never know until it is tested.

Does not appear to be asbestos in its recognizably friable form.

Is that horse hair in the mix? They use to use that in old mortar mixes.

Looks like old horse-hair plaster
