    "I have Spell Check"

    Does that help?

I've used the MS Word grammar checker but unless you actually KNOW the correct way it should be, it is often confusing and a bit arbitrary. It will catch the occasional mess up of conflicting tense etc. but is not all that helpful.
"Suggest revising" as a solution is not useful. Relying on a "grammar checker" is dangerous as it does not take into account contextual information.
Practice in writing and attention to detail is most important. Good writing is a skill that is learned with experience. Experience only works if you do not get lazy and actually do care what your written work looks/reads like.

I've just spent several weeks re-working the "canned comments" supplied with an inspection software I have switched to. The level of writing makes me cringe. Do people actually use these comments? They look like a 5th grade student wrote them!

In my experience, most people do not know how to write properly. Very common mistakes are made all the time and are jarring to see. They devalue your credibility and that of your report. It is just laziness IMHO.
Example: to - too - two, there - their - the're. The list is long and the language is abused in written form constantly.

What you need is a "style guide". The Chicago Manual of Style is the best one on the market. It is a book and not a program. It will teach you how to properly construct a sentence, also makes for a great doorstop!

That is the understatement of the day.

The following is an example of what happens when people rely on technology to make up for their deficiencies in writing skills.
