    Default weird roof drain

I've never seen a roof drain like this. Any comments?

Maybe they borrowed it from the neighbor's pool.

That's not a drain, it's a sieve waiting to be clogged!

Nah, a sieve has more holes in it.

Just tell them that is not an approved roof drain and it needs to be replaced with a proper roof drain, or it can be left CAPPED OFF LIKE IT IS ( ) and a real roof drain installed.

It is effectively (almost) "capped off".
