Exclamation TEXAS HOME INSPECTORS SHOULD READ THIS

The new TREC SOP's will be voted on in just a few days (Sept 30th). If enacted, you will be required at every house to pull a ladder out and walk on the roof, whether you need to or not, and also required to move items in the house to inspect it. See the comments below from John Cahill:

    From John.....

"The changes are profound. Any attorney can pick em out. Read them carefully. I'll pint out the differences at www.prismrca.com over time. One example. Old SoP do not require you to move times or walk on roof. New SoP do. You must move small, light and durable personal possessions. Must access roof. John":

The latest version on the TREC proposed Standards of Practice can be downloaded at www.prismrca.com.

They were posted on September 5, 2008 and public comment will be received for 30 days. They will can then be adopted.

The Standards are very long and have many problems. You are urged to review them and provide comment.

Go to www.prismrca.com and download the proposed Standards.

    Your inspector associate,

    John Cahill
Former TREC Inspector Committee member and chairman

    (a) Definitions.

Are these any different than what you do now?
