Ragged roof
Brand new build, I write up the improperly installed shingles / loose roofing felt and builder says there's nothing wrong, nothing to fix. <sheesh> Gimme a break, I get sea sick just looking at it!

Re: Ragged roof
All we can do is to report what we find. You found an improperly installed roof! It looks like the underlayment was severely wrinkled when the shingles were put down. On top of that it is a crappy 3-Tab asphalt 20 year shingle. And in your area you might get 10-15 years out of a 3-tab shingle if it's not pounded by hail first!

Re: Ragged roof
Would rather slap some sense into certain builders who don't have a clue! ;-)

Re: Ragged roof
I would tend to wonder what the shingle manufacturer would say about this. I would expect something like "sorry bud, no warranty."
