Chimney
I do not like the placement of the chimney. Cricket is in place but it does not have proper slope.
This is a new home.

Re: Chimney
Crappy wood siding and inadequate clearance from roof covering. So they landed the chimney right in the middle of a ridge. That's better than in the middle of a valley, right? Is it getting worser by the year or only my imagination?

Re: Chimney
There is not much of a roof plane above that chimney seeing as how it looks like it is just beneath the hip/ ridge, so not much water will shed to it. If the trim and siding were installed with proper clearances and flashing was done right, I probably would not be concerned.
