HID fixtures with spent lamps still draw same amount of current?
Hello all.
Been on Mike Holts forum so a little familiar.
Question: Re HID fixtures... from an energy conservation standpoint.. do HID lighting fixtures consume the same amount of power whether the lamp is functioning properly or burned out?
Presenting reasons to client to replace series of non-lit HIDs w/new LED wall packs. Only 2 of 7 fixtures are lit at night. They report that the breaker has been tripping on occasion? Anyone care to school me on this issue? Thanks in advance.
