    Default Insulation Type ??

    Does anyone know what type of insulation this is (white material, house built in 1923) ??

    Can't really tell from the photos. Are you sure its not fiberglass? 1923 house would not likely have those ducts in the attic, and probably not the insulation either.

    Right, you need a better camera for your attic pics.

    Next time, collect a bit of it in a baggy and then you can examine it properly. Search here for past threads. We've discussed similar insulation here before, i believe.
    What Jack said, it was added in more recent times from the look of it.

    Looks a bit like '47 Dodge upholstery, don't it?
