    Default Stumped on this

Found this on exposed foundation, 12 yr old SFR today. I swear it looks like termite work and leads directly under the PT sill. Is this possible or just an anomaly? This was a depression into the concrete, not on top of.

I'm thinking that something was stuck to the concrete when the parge coat was applied, then fell off later, leaving the recess in the parge coat where it was.

if it flakes off like dried mud and sand, then yes it is a Termite mud tube, but looks more like a past crack repair from the pic.
Tube is the key word here. Must be a hollow tube

The photos show that it was a depression into the surface, termites do not eat concrete (and, yes, that is just an old wives tale for Formosan termites - they do not really 'eat concrete' as some say).

It was definitely not hollow and flaked off like lime or dry concrete. Thanks guys, just wanted to make sure.

Could be where a mud tube was scraped off in anticipation of the inspector!
The mud tube I see though are nearly perfectly plumb.
