What is the rule on treated lumber being covered with metal? I can't seem to find a clear answer. Thanks.

Re: treated posts
Short answer is that the treated lumber, if CU, has to have a barrier between the wood and the metal to prevent a reaction between dissimilar metals.
Unless the metal is stainless steel and then I have reservations about the quality of the SS.
Many companies have started using coating to the metal and I do not trust them for the long term applications.
If you read deep into the attachment manufacture's test studies and warranties you find that there will be a statement that the wood should not be subjected to water.
